Mark Mock of God’s Missionary Church
in Alum Bank, PA. initially contacted ATS to propose a new sound system
for their church. An initial meeting was held to determine the needs
and expectations of the congregation. ATS was then retained to proceed
with the design of the sound system.
The existing system was comprised of poor quality recessed ceiling speakers,
powered by an inadequate constant voltage amp/mixer combination. It
was very clear after my initial site visit the existing system was not
capable of meeting the demands of the congregation.
Measurements were taken and an EASE model of the Church was subsequently
drawn. The model demonstrated that with a single Electro Voice EVI 28
speaker, the direct sound pressure and alcons would meet the expectations
of the congregation. In addition to the main system, it was necessary
to provide speakers in adjacent classrooms.

Proposed SPL & Proposed Alcons
In addition to the EVI 28 speaker the additional equipment was specified:
(1) Audio Technica AT 857 QMLA
(2) Audio Technica AT 853 PMWX
(3) Audio Technica 1236 Wireless Systems
(4) Audio Technica ATM 27HE Microphones
(1) Denon DNT 620 CD/Cassette
(1) Pro Co CB-1
(1) DBX 2031
(1) Carver PMX 450
(2) Lowell R 158 25K ceiling speakers
(2) Horizon Floor pockets
(1) Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro

After the design was completed, Bob Capotosto of ATS presented the design
along with all supporting EASE documentation. ATS was given approval
to complete the installation of the proposed system. Upon completion
of the installation, Bob Capotosto utilized Smaart Live for proper system
tuning. In addition, on site training for proper system operation was
provided.
